Good day
Please take note that Ratsegaai dam (aka Misty Lakes) now handles their own bookings at 0823403534.
The owners has decided to open the dam to other anglers also who are not members of SACS and have decided to handle their own bookings. SACS members are still welcome to book directly with Ratsegaai dam if you want to fish the lake.
As our contract of 5 years has expired with the Ratsegaai Trust, the dam will be known under its original name, i.e Ratsegaai Dam. As per contract the name “Misty Lakes” belongs to SACS and I have thus decided to withdraw the alias “Misty Lakes” from Ratsegaai dam.
For your information.
Good day to all.
The reason Ratsegaai Trust did not renew the contract with SACS is that they want more anglers to visit the lake than SACS currently provide. As most of our members are Gauteng based many rather opted to fish lakes near home and also the SACS Kwaggahoek Dam for our monster Carp.
SACS will thus rather put more funds and resources into Kwaggahoek Dam in future. I am currently planning to put up a chalet at the Kol Camp to make it easier for families with small children who like to visit the lake.
